Time Is My Treasure
I have learned a few things,
unlearned a few
lost a few things
but found much more
than what I have lost.
I have earned a few things,
received much more
than what I have earned
and kept some things
though keeping has it’s cost.
Now time is my treasure,
Though it may not exist
And love is the measure
I’ll never resist
To ease my way
through months and years,
Vestiges of foolish fears.
I have learned a few things
Feel your sorrow, your joy
as if they were mine,
how to listen to wind
as it makes the bells ring,
how to listen to water
as it makes the stones sing
Now time is my treasure,
Though it may not exist
And love is the measure
I’ll never resist
To ease my way
through months and years,
Vestiges of foolish fears.
Now time is my treasure,
Though it may not exist
And love is the measure
I’ll never resist
To ease my way
through months and years,
Vestiges of foolish fears
Foolish fears.
