Job Title: Assistant Meat Manager
Location: El Toro Meat Shop – Santa Ana, California
Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour based on experience

El Toro Meat Shop is a family-owned business known for high-quality meats, personalized customer service, and a strong commitment to tradition and community. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Meat Manager to support daily operations in our meat department.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Meat Department Manager with daily operations and staff supervision
• Ensure proper cutting, trimming, grinding, and packaging of meat products
• Maintain quality, freshness, and proper rotation of all meat inventory
• Help manage inventory control and do meat orders from vendors
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
• Train and guide meat department staff
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and making recommendations
• Help manage scheduling and oversee department in manager’s absence
•  

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a meat department or similar environment
• Strong knowledge of meat cuts, processing, and safety handling procedures
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a must
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, and stand for long periods
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends/holidays as needed
• Food Health Safety experience
