Job Summary
In Biotechnology and the Life Sciences, we are creating new routes to drug discovery and development, and understanding the fundamental mechanisms of disease, from Alzheimer's and diabetes to cancer. Just of few of the research centers include:
Minimum Qualifications
For researcher positions, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in a related science or technical discipline.
For research support positions, candidates must possess an associate degree or foreign degree equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience.
For Postdoctoral Research Associate, Research Associate, or Research Scientist positions, candidates must possess the relevant doctoral degree and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional opportunities exist for those with a relevant advanced degree, publication record, and/or significant additional years of paid professional experience in a related position.
Individuals who possess these qualifications and who have the potential to, or a demonstrated track record of being able to build collaborative external partnerships are especially desirable. Relevant combinations of training, education and experience will be considered.
Starting Pay Information:
Pay transparency disclosure: The hiring salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer's good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
- Postdoctoral Research Associate: $58,656 - $65,000
- Research Associate: $60,000 - $67,000
- Research Scientist: $67,000 - $95,000
- Sr. Research Scientist: $80,000 - $138,000
- Research Assistant ($16.00 - 20.00 per hour)
- Research Specialist $18.00 - $25.00
- Sr. Research Specialist $ $58,656 - $60,000
- Research Engineer: $66,000 - $86,000
- Sr. Research Engineer: $87,000 - $95,000
(note: positions that are located in a New York City location may be eligible for a 20% location differential)
