Data Scientist Role Overview We're seeking a detail-oriented and intellectually curious Entry-Level Data Analyst to join our data-driven team. Key Responsibilities Collect, analyze, and interpret structured and unstructured datasets to uncover trends and business insights Translate business needs into technical designs for BI solutions and analytical models Perform data cleaning, mining, and aggregation to prepare datasets for modeling and reporting Design, implement, and optimize ETL routines for loading data into Data Warehouses Develop and manage BI job scheduling and monitoring systems Build scalable dashboards, scorecards, and models with drill-down/drill-through capabilities Conduct performance tuning of ETL and ensure long-term BI capacity planning Collaborate with IT teams, business analysts, and infrastructure specialists to meet project goals Research and resolve data integrity issues while ensuring reliability and accuracy of insights Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree required (Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics, or related field); Master's preferred Experience: 0-4 years of experience in data-centric roles, with strong grounding in: Relational Data Modeling Microsoft SQL Server BI Stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI) Writing Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) in Power BI & Analysis Services Working with flat files, SQL Server, and DB2 databases Skills: Proficiency with Python, R, SQL for data analysis and modeling Solid understanding of statistical techniques and their application in business contexts Hands-on experience in prototyping, proof of concept development, and data profiling Knowledge of BI architecture, performance monitoring, and security best practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems to various stakeholders Experience creating technical documentation and architecture diagrams The estimated salary range for this position in New York is $65-85,000.
