Job Summary:
Responsible for driving sales growth and Stakeholder engagement within Sysco operating sites. Market Business Development Manager will be assigned specific operating sites within
Sysco and provide SSMG support as needed to the operating site, Business Development Managers, customers and internal departments. This role will be responsible for fostering education, collaboration and influential relationships with Regional Leadership teams (Pres, VPS, VPM, VPO) as well as COP Category Managers, PSA’s , PPS, Contract and Local sales. This role will act as dotted line support to SSMG BDM’s and USBL PPS.
Responsibilities:
Work with Market and regional level merchandising teams to drive profitable growth.
Drive profitable growth through dotted line leadership of business developers & Premium Protein Specialist. This role will be responsible for the training, day to day coaching and driving of results of Sysco sites through the business development team.
Engage in regular business reviews (Top to Top) with their assigned Sysco markets, regions and sites.
Complete all other assigned work.
Create and execute region specific growth plans.
Develop and help lead training engagement model for all stakeholders
Spend time in market developing the Business Development Managers and PPS
Represent SSMG at approved trade venues through booth appearance/employee representation, scheduled product sampling, product demonstrations, and current/potential customer interaction
Experience:
HS diploma/equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred; 2-5 years prior foodservice sales experience, specialty food and chain sales a plus;
Specialty meat experience preferred; valid driver’s license; advanced computer skills required; customer centric and internet savvy; bilingual
Spanish preferred; superior time-management and project management skills including ability to service multiple customers simultaneously.
Knowledge or marketing principles, product lines, ordering procedures and credit terms; familiarization with customer service activities; interdepartmental communications, general finance concepts; ability to manage end to end initiatives through challenging deadlines; ability to sell, multitask and problem solve.
Education:
Required: HS Diploma
Preferred: BS or BA Degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture/Animal Science, or related studies

With Travel requirements, Colleague’s work environment will be from remote offices and sites across their market as well as hotel and airport seating areas.
