Physical Therapist- Outpatient Clinic & Inpatient Unit
FTE: 1.0 FTE (Full-time, 40 hours per week)
Shifts: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, weekend and holiday rotations in Acute Care
$5,000 Relocation Bonus
$10,000 Sign-on Bonus

Responsibilities:
Physical Therapists treat patients from newborn to geriatric and work under the referral of a physician. They are responsible to evaluate, establish appropriate plan of care and provide needed treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function and independence and prevent disability.
Evaluates and treats physical therapy patients under physician orders in the outpatient and acute settings
Develops treatment plans for all patients assigned to case load
Maintains appropriate documentation in the patient’s medical record
Ongoing commitment to reducing costs and improving productivity in the physical therapy department
Maintains positive relationships with the health care team, patient and family
Communicates effectively in writing and verbally with all appropriate members of the patient’s healthcare team
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of a Physical Therapist education program approved by The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), a successor organization of CAPTE, or an education program outside the United States determined to be substantially equivalent to physical therapist entry-level education in the United States by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Passed an examination for Physical Therapists approved by the state in which physical therapy services are provided.
Licensure:
Physical therapy licensure in Iowa or eligible for licensure in Iowa.
Valid Drivers License
Experience:
Entry level/new graduate acceptable
Skills/Abilities:
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Basic knowledge of computer concepts
Ability to meet time frames for work completion
Effective skills for teamwork/team facilitation
Ability to evaluate critically and think creatively
Able to read and understand a variety of patient related documentation
Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate and treat rehabilitative needs of patients relative to development and age
