As a Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in access control at a utilities location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to remain visible and approachable. You will use your customer service skills to provide clear communication and assistance, creating a welcoming atmosphere while upholding security-related protocols. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon11:00 PM - 07:00 AMWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and daily events.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
