Senior Corporate Accountant, CPA – Full-Time Consultant
Position Overview: Vaco is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join our dedicated team of consultants. This role is ideal for a skilled accounting professional, preferably a CPA, who is ready to leverage their expertise to provide high-quality financial services to our clients. You will work collaboratively within a team of permanently employed consultants, contributing to financial reporting, compliance, and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Oversee the month-end close process, including reconciliations and journal entries, to ensure timely reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure seamless financial operations.
• Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on corporate accounting or financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and auditing standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members.

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
