January Deep Freeze

POSTED

FullSizeRenderHere we are at the end of January, it’s been a cold month with many -35 degree Celsius nights. We’ve spent lots of time stoking the wood stove and keeping the wood box filled. As you can see, even the cats don’t want to go out. They sit at the window watching birds at the feeder. It’s a time for reading great books and writing songs.
Since returning from New York I’ve written, along with my friend, Patrick Wiggins, two exciting new songs. One, “The Pain Of The Fall”, a real rocker, is dedicated to the passing of my friend and long-time musical partner, Richard Belanger. The other, “Hard Times Comin’ To Your Door”, a gospel flavoured blues, is about the inevitability of difficulties arriving in your life no matter how well protected you think you may be.
I am also on the computer and telephone, organizing tours for the spring and summer. When I have confirmed dates I will post them.
