Dog Dog

By A. Gerber & B. Ford

They don’t call ’em dogs for nothin’
Our old dog he’s really something.
Last night he dashed off in a flash
He came home belly draggin’
Breath so bad we all were gaggin’
I don’t know what was in our neighbor’s trash

Dog, dog-dog. dog-dog
I can’t believe how much you put us through.
Dog , dog-dog , dog dog
I guess you do the things that dogs just do.
Some are good , some are not
And you’re the darlin’ dog we got
Both good and bad we can’t help lovin’ you.

We soothed the whimpers of his dreamin
He got sick, we got cleanin’
